Going Virtual! 2020-2021 Program Year and Fundraising Updates

ACE Mentor Program has announced that the upcoming program year will be conducted virtually. ACE Western PA is committed to providing a fun and educational virtual experience for our students. We do not see this change as a challenge but as an opportunity to reach more students and to bring lessons from other parts of the country into the homes of our participants.

ACE Western PA leadership is currently working to develop a new session format and are leveraging our national network to ensure an exceptional program year. We will provide an updated schedule soon. In the meantime, check out ACE National Virtual Tools. Important programming information can be found here such as new parental consent forms and mentoring resources.

ACE standards will not change this year. Students are asked to commit to attend all sessions and to be an active participant in the session activities. Mentors are preparing virtual tours and interactive lessons that keep students engaged. Registration for students and mentors is now open.

In addition to the program year changes, all ACE Mentor events will be cancelled until further notice. This includes the Clay Shoot that was scheduled for September 21st. ACE events account for nearly all of our fundraising. An increase in virtual fundraising will help fill the gap in our 2020 efforts. Our first ever #ACEDAY2020 will take place on August 25th. Please consider making a donation directly to ACE Western PA in lieu of your annual event registration. The funds will directly result in an improved digital experience for our students.
